I had first dibs and was paying full price. I immediately sent him 3 or so PMs and emails with my phone number and I was willing to meet him the next day on Friday with the cash in hand. For some reason, he would not call me , and he sold the Python to Jay-EL who did not have first dibs. He did it wrong.

it does suck and not very fair but really, The seller does have the choice on who he wants to sell it to.

First dibs and a full price offer should trump all others. It isn't an auction site.

Yes, he can do what he wants.... but, he sent me a PM agreeing to meet me in North County on Friday to do the deal.... Then, he goes completely dark on me... I can't get him to call me to set a time or answer my PMs or emails.. So, here I am -- went to the bank; set up personal time for Friday; waiting for him to reply and agree on a time... In the meantime, he is selling it to someone else.... Just really bad form..

I struck a deal on an HK USP 40...spoke in person and set up meeting time...then the guy couldn't even give me the curtesy of a reply...any excuse would have done...Glad I tried to confirm our meeting the night before...I would have been standing like a jackaxx at the gun shop waiting...

For the record, hjdca's post originally said "I like it !! PM sent".

In the interim both parties contacted the seller, neither knowing that the other was talking to the seller nor what was being discussed.

hdjca and Jay-El both appear to have discussed terms to buy independently at the asking price without knowing of the other.

It looks like the OP made deals with both separately and sold it to Jay-El without telling him he had been discussing a deal with hdjca.

                            Sounds about right...

Jay-El sent me a PM and he paid full price, not over... Also, he informed me that he contacted the seller around the same time as me, so, the seller had options. I do not think Jay-El did anything incorrect....

Also, all the seller had to do was inform me on Friday that he was making another deal instead letting me think it was still on... I guess that is the only thing I can be upset about...
