I am selling an upgraded Wilson Combat Classic 1911 in .45 ACP. This is the PERFECT competition gun for USPSA Single Stack or IDPA CDP.
I bought the CA Legal version of the gun and then sent it back to Wilson for the following upgrades:
1) Competition only trigger job--trigger pull reduced to a crisp 2.5 lbs.
2) Serrated the slide top to reduce glare.
3) Upgraded the sights to a fiber optic front with a custom adjustable rear.
4) Added a curved medium trigger (the original long trigger will come with the gun).
5) Desensitized the grip safety so that only a small amount of pressure on the grip safety will make the gun ready to fire.
6) Added an oversized magazine release.
7) Added a wide ambi-safety. The original ambi safety will also come with the gun. This makes the gun feel much better in the hand.
I also added a Techwell TGO magwell and grips (black) for improved reloading. The original grips (Rosewood) and magwell/mainspring housing will come with the gun.
The gun comes with both a short guide rod and a full length guide rod.
The gun has all of 500 rounds through it. It comes with 3 Wilson 47D magazines (regular basepads or extended basepads--your choice). It also has Wilson's legendary Armor Tuff coatings and Wilson's excellent warranty.
You pay the PPT fees. I accept money orders only.
Price--$3900 if we do this face to face at a Contra Costa County gun store OR $4150 if my FFL has to ship to your FFL. Prices are firm. No trades please.
This gun was meticulously broken in and cared for. This is a great opportunity to own the finest variant of John Moses Browning's classic handgun. And you don't have to wait a year for Wilson to build it!
