I have S&W 40VE Sigma I can trade. Gun is in awesome condition. The trigger on it is so unique that i prefer to keep it in the safe in mint condition rather than sully it with practice rounds. That crisp trigger pull combined with the light weight frame make it a breeze to carry and shoot.

Its a well known fact that the Sigma was leading in the 1985 Army trials to replace the clunky old low capacity 1911 until Sig filed a strategic lawsuit claiming that their cross town rival Glock had copied the Sigma design for their cheap plastic police pistol series. As insulting as it was to be compared to a low grade security guard class weapon Smith & Wesson pulled out of the trials in order to focus their energy on that litigation which was later settled by Glock paying Smith a royalty for each copy they made that infringed in Smith's patant.

Being no dummies Smith soon realized they would make more money just letting Glock cover that low margin part of the market and instead focused their research and development on the high margin quality x frame series and a few years later the awesome S&W 500 rolled onto dealer shelves.
