early no address just made in usa. the .38 cylinder is flaking off
the nickel..Called Roy the historian at S&W and said they did ship
some nickel revolvers in that time period.I didnt get them lettered
my grandfather has had them since the mid 50's.they come in a
wood presentation box.i have no history.real stag grips

Pretty sure those are both re-finished. The give away is the rear sights were done in nickel.

As 03fatboy noted these are probally refinished but they have been this way atleast since mid 1950's. They probally were presentation gift as there was a plate attached to top of box
