Unsure if I'm going to sell the 2.5" yet.
The 4" has got to go. It's in excellent shape, and has been fired very little.
I'd be willing to drive a few hours to bring them to you, if you cover my fuel and taco bell for the trip, since these must be sold through a PPT. I'd even probably be willing to drive all the way to San Diego, if my fuel was covered. I could go for a margarita on the beach and a mini road trip. But the bad thing is, I drive a big Cummins truck and get 14 mpg. Distance driven is up to you, but I like meeting other Calgunners, and would like it to go to a good home.
As far as I can tell, they are NOT the original grips, since they don't have the Colt medallions. They're Pachy Presentation grips, which Colt DID put on them from the factory, but I haven't seen original ones without the medallion. Unfortunately, I have zero idea where the original grips are. The 4" was made in 1978, if I remember the serial number decoder right, and the 2.5" was made in 1981.
Also, I'm going to reserve the right to modify the price, based on what I find out about the value of them. Not being original grips, I know that the value is decreased...but I'm not sure how much, and won't have time to research it for a few days. I'll get more pictures of the 4" up soon, and the 2.5" if I decide to sell it. They are in REALLY really nice condition. The 4" only has the almost-not-there turn line as it's been fired a few times, and the 2.5" has a small nick under the colt emblem, and a tiny spot of surface rust under the barrel.
4", $2800. And remember, I'll drive it to you, so you don't have to burn fuel and time to DROS and pick it up.
2", not sure yet. I may want to keep it.
I've also got a factory Pinto that I MAY be willing to part with in the future. Probably not, as it's a great shooter, and there is no FACTORY paperwork saying that it was purchased as a pinto from the dealer, even though it was one of the 80's "Oakland Special"s...there's just no verification to go with it.
