I'm selling my custom 2011 5" 9mm that was built by Jim Milks of Innovative Custom guns. The quality of Jim's work is on par with infinity as this is the 5th gun Jim has built for me. I can compare them directly to my Infinity. The fit and finish on every part is perfect. The reliability and accuracy has always been exceptional as is this pistol. I only design my 2011's with the best parts. JEM is the leading producer of forged 1911/2011 slides and frames. Here are the build details:
-JEM forged frame and tri-topped slide, perfect fit, zero play
-KART bull barrel with Wilson cut lugs, cut flush and crowned (KART is considered the best with most gunsmiths)
-EGW flush cut and supported reverse plug so there is no ugly gap and gives more contact for the bottom of the barrel as it fires and cycle
-Slide has been milled by C&H Precision with an RMR footprint plate (plated are interchangeable)
-Infinity flat trigger tuned to 2.5lbs with EGW internals, zero creep, glass break feel, extremely short tactile reset
-Custom made all black steel front sight, 0.180" tall, hand made sight that's been mated/milled perfectly to the front Novak dovetail.
-EWG full length stainless steel guide rod
-EGW grip safety at .250 radius. Grip safety has been perfectly blended to the frame tang
-EGW thumb safety with a very crisp on/off and the outside corner that contacts your thumb joint has been smoothed out/dehorned.
-STI slide stop with (aggressive ledge)
-Staccato Gen 2 grip that has been aggressively textured by Dark Side Precision with a grip reduction
-Staccato Gen 2 magwell
-Entire pistol and all parts (except disconnect and sear) have DLC black out finish
-2 STI mags to legally block
(Any marks or blemishes you see are either oil or grease. Pistol is mint condition.)
I planned on quad-porting this pistol through Magna-Port. I've had 7 pistols magna-ported. Their process maintains factory accuracy with minimal FPS loss. In a seated position, using a sandbag rest, I can shoot 5 rounds dead center in one inch at 25 yards with Speer gold Dot 124 grain. I've verified all my Magna-ported pistols after porting and trust their work 100%. Magna-porting takes the pistol out of limited competition so I didn't do it yet.
I can't speak highly enough about Jim's work and it's a 16 month wait time for his full custom builds. His contour lines, fit and finish, and accuracy is perfect in my book. I'm selling this at my cost for a new project. This pistol has less than 50 rounds through it (test fire and accuracy verification) and I'm the only owner. I received the pistol 4 weeks ago. It has never been in a holster and stored in my climate controlled safe.
