Curious why when sold prices are removed from posts

I think it helps to have a historical as well as market perspective of prices on the items sold. Wondering if its done by users or the admins.
Not sure if this post is best placed in the WTS section
    Thanks

    Admin does not care.
The price is usually removed by the seller because it’s no one’s business but the seller and buyer when it’s all said and done.

      This

As well as people still asking if it’s available even when title or in thread states “SOLD”, or the famous “SOLD” bump.

I leave the sold price. I don't understand why most people remove it. I always private message the seller and ask how much their item(s) sold for.

          ^^^^^This

I can’t tell you how many times a newbie asks me in a PM if my firearm is still for sale even if I posted SOLD many months later because they see a price .Its true that it’s nobody’s business once it’s sold but I have told others what the realized price was after the fact if they are curious and polite.

If you're concerned about preserving the sold price in the ad, just quote the seller's post when you purchase the item. Problem solved.
