The pistol for sale is a Colt Combat Elite, Series 80 custom rebuild by Will O?Hara to a Limited 10 pistol with Series 70 internals. Parts used were Ed Brown, Kart, STI, S&A, Bomar, EGW, etc.
1. The custom work includes Bomar sights.
2. Kart National Match barrel with a bushing fitted to the slide. The ramp and throat tuned to shoot wadcutters and HP as well as FMJ.
3. Added Front Serrations.
4. Ambidextrous safety.
5. Custom frame to slide fit, tight lock up.
6. SA extended mag well unit with the appropriate custom checked walnut grips to blend at the magwell.
7. STI Trigger with EGW and custom parts for a 2 lb. Trigger pull.
8. Pinned Ed Brown grip safety for competitive shooting. The pin can be removed by Will OHara or anyone with gunsmith skills.
9. Extended Guide Rod.
10. Three Tripp Research 10 rd. and the Trip standard in the pistol. I may have the original Colt.
The pistol only had 200 to 300 rounds through it and the frame to slide fit is tight. The pistol is very accurate.
