Markings: The frame, under the arbor, is marked "Mod 10-7". The left side of the barrel is marked "CHESHIRE & PEREZ / MONROVIA CALIF.". The rail is marked ?ARIST ? O ? CRAT / GUNSIGHT COMPANY / SAN GABRIEL CALIFORNIA? on the right side and with the ?U.S. PATENT / 4.127.943?on the left side. The S&W logo is on the right side of the frame as is ?MADE IN USA MARCAS REGISTRADAS SPRINGFIELD MASS.?
Barrel Length: 6", heavy bull barrel 1" diameter. The barrel has been replaced and is marked "Cheshire & Perez Monrovia California".
Sights: The firearm is mounted with a full length top rail marked "Aristocrat" and adjustable rear sight. The front sight is a raised blade protected by wings.
Grip Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece rubber in good condition showing minor use.
Type of Finish: Blue Steel
Bore Condition: The rifling is sharp and deep. The bore is bright. There is no apparent erosion.
Overall Condition: This firearm retains over 90+% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows wear and use mostly to the left side of the barrel, on the cylinder and at the edges. There is a drag line on the cylinder, though not worn deep. The Screw heads are sharp and undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this firearm rates in about fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions smoothly. The barrel has been replaced as described above, the trigger is wide and has been smoothed, the hammer is the wide target hammer, the action is smooth and the single action trigger pull is smooth and light.
