Randall General LeMay 4 star (less than 400 made)

A direct quote from General LeMay:
If you are going to use military force, then you ought to use overwhelming military force. Use too much and deliberately use too much; you'll save lives, not only your own, but the enemy's too

Randall was the first to produce an all stainless steel 1911 pistol into the market, and the General LeMay 4-star was the only compact model designed for officers to carry. There were a total of less than 400 General LeMay produced and this one has the custom carry package that has been mirror polished with de-horned features. Comes with 3 magazines and in excellent condition. The lands and grooves are sharp, the diamond checkering on the walnut grip is excellent, it functions smoothly and shoots beautifully. More high resolution pictures are available upon request.
Prefer PPT@ Aeon Tac, City of Industry.
$1950, not interested in trades at the moment, thanks.

Is the polish and de-horning from the factory?

I'm the second owner, the original owner special ordered it with the mirror finish and de-horning because he didn't like all the sharp edges and possible galling of the metal.

Looks to be more Commander size than Officers size?

                      It is Commander size.

In all, 361 of the Model A311 pistols were made in a serial number range of RF02011C through RF03114C. The first A311 was made on March 1, 1984, and production of that model ended on October 25, 1984. Next came the A331, which featured a flat top slide and Millett Low-Profile adjustable rear sight. The top of the slide was milled deeply so the rear sight would sit low enough to preclude its catching on clothing when drawn. There were 293 of this model produced in a serial number range of RF02010C through RF03169C. The first LeMay A331 was made on March 1, 1984, and the last one was completed on October 23rd of that same year.

I've always associated the words "Compact" and "Officers" with a 3.5" barrel and my cursory read of the ad led me to that conclusion. The pictures told a different story thus my comment. I've carried a Colt Officers for years and am always looking for another. Thanks for the Randall history. Quite the interesting company.

Don't reckon you'd be willin' to ship to Texas, perchance? Needless to say, subject to payment via USPS MO's........

I've already got the 10 different models made (in .45), includin' the 3 Southpaw models, but the polish is different.....

Thanks for posting your LeMay. Always surprised the Randall 1911's don't bring a higher price. I think their scarcity results in a smaller than normal collector base. Original owner of an A131.

Spent 30 years building my collection - but my boys keep reminding me I have TWO sons....lol I carried one of 'em for quite a few years, had Briley work it over to chamber JHP properly - love that gun.
