[b]Make: S&W
[b]Model: 651 Stainless 4" "Kit Gun" RB/Red Ramp
[b]Caliber: 22 WMR
[b]Location (city or county): OC
[b]Price: $795 cash or trade plus cash
[b]Will ship: No
[b] A hard revolver to find! I got this one back in the late '90s from a man in Florida who had bought two new, one for himself and one for his wife. She hated the flash and crack of the .22 WMR in a 4" barrel and he kept his and sold hers to me. It was in new condition but had been test fired a few rounds. I kept it and fired less than three boxes at the range and at a couple of groundhogs and then decided my M48-1 with 8 3/8" bbl was a better range and field gun. It has sat in my safe since. So the round count is way less than 200.
Condition is near-new with a slight turn ring on the cylinder, perfect bore and chambers. This is the round butt variation with factory red ramp front sight. It came with the factory rubber "boot grips," but I replaced them with slightly fuller Eagle brand Santos rosewood "Secret Service" model grips. Comes with the original blue S&W box, the original grips, instruction manual, warranty, the bill of sale from the receiving NYS dealer, and the "wax" S&W wrapping paper. No tools came with the gun; I don't know if they were originally included with this vintage of J-frame Smith.
I'd like to keep this gun in SoCal, so for now no shipping. I'm looking only for a person-to-person transfer at any mutually acceptable FFL in North or Cental OC or Long Beach area. $795 cash firm or one of the following trades plus extra cash as agreed w/buyer. Buyer pays DROS fee.
Trades:
I'm only interested in these:
An excellent condition Ruger Standard Model .22 auto pistol with fixed sights, "Mark I" or Mark II, 6" or 4 3/4" bbl.
or
An excellent condition .410 shotgun barrel only for the T-C "Contender Carbine". Must be legal length in CA (whatever that is right now) or longer. Let me know maker and details (rib/no rib, choke if any, finish, and number of forend mounting screws, bore cond., etc.). State maker: MGM, Fox Ridge. or T-C Custom shop.
I can't post pictures but will try to text or email a few to any serious buyer if they will PM me their cell # or email address. But if you've seen a new round butt 651, that's what this looks like.
Thanks for reading!
