The sideplate bears a 1937 date and the serial number indicates that it was part of a 1938 shipment from S&W. This revolver is a five-screw N frame with a 5 1/2 barrel, fixed sights with square notch rear, and original grips with lanyard ring. It also features S&W's famous long-action trigger with a very smooth pull. The Brazilians kept these revolvers until they were surplused in the 1980s, so the exterior finish is fair with some wear and light pitting. However, the bore and chambers are shiny, and it is very accurate. It comes with 6 moon clips and a case removal tool.
