Make: Les Baer Custom
Model: Thunder Ranch Special
Caliber: .45 ACP
Location (city or county): San Diego
Price: Sold
Will ship (Y/N): Yes
Other info:
This is a BRAND NEW, now-discontinued model of Les Baer 1911 called the Thunder Ranch Special. It bears the logo of Thunder Ranch training facility. It has a beautiful blued finished, night sights, front and rear slide serrations, and thin grips that give the pistol a better feel in the hand.
This was one of the last TR Special pistols to leave Les Baer. I bought it as a collector item, so I never fired it. It is literally brand new, in the box, with 3 magazines, and all the paperwork that originally came with the gun. I've stored it in a silicone gun sock for preservation.
This pistol is very tightly fit together, as are all Les Baer pistols. The slide snaps open when you rack it. Due to the fitting, all Les Baer pistols require a break-in period before disassembly and cleaning. I would shoot 600-800 rounds through it, while adding oil to key areas, before you take it apart for the first time. I have not performed this procedure. The gun is exactly how you would find it new on the shelf.
Please no low-ball offers; it's irreplaceable.
I accept payment in cash. I'm available to meet at a local FFL in San Diego for the private party transfer. Thanks for looking!
