[b]Other info: Without the book to physically look up this serial number I have come to the conclusion that this is a pre model 10 from the 1920's or so. Serial number is 307XXX with no letters in it. The only letter I see is located under the barrel and is B 307XXX, which from my research simply means it was factory blued. Feel free to school me on any of this, I am trying to be as accurate and honest as possible in my description.

This pistol really looks great considering its age. Only the grips show significant wear but this really adds to the character. This guy came out of my grandparents safe with zero story behind it. I am most interested in trades, so let me know what you've got.

Stupid question, but I have been googling for the past 30 minutes and can't find the answer. What is a "Pre-Model"? Thanks!

Pre-model is a term used to indicate pre-1957 smiths (before they transitioned to a numeric model numbering designation, ie model 10, 14, 15, etc)

No stupid questions in my book. I am not very educated in this field but I believe around 1957 S&W renamed their M&P models the Model 10. So pre-model 10 would signify revolvers manufactured before that.
