S&W Model 19 .357 mag, factory nickel, pin & recess, diamond grips, exc. cond $800
MODEL 19-2 HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN
Offered here is a nice shooter/concealed carry/personal defense grade Smith & Wesson Model 19-2 .357 magnum revolver from my long time personal collection.
It makes me kind of sad to put this one up for sale because I've had it for a long time, back before California turned into the vermin infested Marxist dung-heap that it is today, so it isn't in any jack-booted thug statist authoritarian data base.
K792XXX serial number places it in 1968, it's over 50 years old, so it's C&R and roster exempt.
It has the desirable 2 1/2 inch barrel, with the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder which were eliminated with the introduction of the Model 19-5 in 1982.
Finish is original factory nickel in excellent condition. The grips are the correct checkered walnut with the diamond around the screw hole, but are serial numbered on the back to a 1962 production gun
The bore is bright clean, and shiny with no excessive wear or pitting. The lock-up and timing of the cylinder are good, but there is a little looseness and end shake on the cylinder...nothing excessive, but not "bank vault" tight either.
This pistol represents the famous old S&W quality, with no crappy MIM cast metal parts and no stupid lock with the ugly "Hillary Hole" in the left side of the gun.
It is the gun on the left in the photos, the other Model 19 in the photos is a matte black finished Model 19-4 that has already been sold.
