Other info: RARE black, essentially new and one of the most sought after Hipower versions in the powerful 40sw caliber. Replaced the original grips with Gunner grips, replaced the trigger with a C&S wide trigger (no mag safety)

The cast 9mm and .40 S&W frames are the same. The .40 Slide is 2 Oz. or so heavier than the 9 slide and the .40 barrel is larger in diameter and has three locking lugs. Smith can Convert the .40 to 9MM is sometimes done to end up with a heavy duty 9MM. DROS anywhere in the bayarea down to san jose, perfer city arms pacifica
