I would suggest NOT buying anything from this dude. I met him to buy this firearm 6 months ago. He showed up WITHOUT proper ID, and said his new license was arriving "any day now". I trusted him and gave him $100. to hold the gun. 3 months later , I gave up and decided to buy a different firearm , when I called Dwayne, his reply was " I'll give you back your $100. WHEN I sell the gun to someone else". Huh? Really? That was 3 months ago. I've called over 10 times and had no response.Total dick move ...from a sketchy character. So much for my $100. I'll chalk that one up to lessons learned ...but , I would suggest steering clear of this Bonehead.

Lazystar.. kudos for the providing our community with this transparency, but why didn't you itrader report him with a negative experience ?

He has none, it would show and be a public warning to others if you did.

I posted it on I-trader today. I'm not sure if I did it right though ...since I've never had to do it before.

Lazystar: This buyer arrived on October 13th without proper proof of residence. My drivers license had just been renewed earlier that week and DMV invalidated my picture Id with a hole through it and issued a new paper license. Gun stores do not accept DMV'S paper ID or my Veterans picture ID so we both had paperwork issues. Johnny provided a $100 deposit to hold the gun for him. We kept in touch every 2 weeks until I received my new CDL in November at which point Johnny tells me he has an ID problem and hopefully his would be in soon, 2 more weeks go by and when I call him the first week of December and he cancels the deal on me and asks for his deposit back, (he has money for xmas issues is what he told me). As most people know, When you back out of a deal and you have put a deposit down, that deposit is forfeit! The deposit makes it a contract to purchase. A guarantee that I would not sell to anyone else! Play by the rules and don't be a sore buyer. He states it has been six months but we didnt meet until October 13th! He cancelled the deal in December! He lies!

A handshake deal is not a contract. You owe him his $100. Period. And anyways the original deal was postponed because of *your* negligence and error.
Even if that had not been the case, a handshake deal does NOT constitute a contract. Retaining that deposit he gave you in good faith at the very least makes you an ******* and unreliable as a seller on this forum, and at most is tantamount to theft.
