- WW2 German Mauser P-38 P38. BYF 43.
- This is a C&R handgun, therefore exempt from the Ca DOJ Roster.
- Serial 3160e, manufactured in May 1943 at the Mauser plant.
- 100% original WW2, Vet Bring Back.
- Condition. Good to very good condition. Original blueing faded out to a greyish tone but no pitting, no rust. Needs a good cleaning.
- All part matching serial: frame, slide, locking block.
- This is not a Russian capture.
- This is not an import, no import markings.
- This P.38 has never been reblued.
- Locking block in the white marked with eagle/135, eagle, and last three digits/letter serial.
- Frame marked 3160e and eagle/135 (code for WW2 Mauser factory)
- Slide marked P.38, BYF 43 and 3160e on the right. Marked eagle/135, eagle, eagle/135 on the left.
- Bore is good to very good, no pitting, a few very light frosting spots (see pictures).
- Fully functional including decocker but I have not shot it.
- Comes with a 8 rounds Walther AC-42 magazine (this is the way I got it). Magazine is double marked WAa359 (Walther factory) on the spine. Marked P.38 on the side. Serial number from another P38 machine stamped along side floor plate (as it was done by Walther on the P38 AC-42)
- Correct excellent condition WW2 AEG grips P1528 and P1529 with correct upper two circles markings not identifiable. Grips made by AEG for Mauser beginning in 1943 (reference "P.38 magazines and grips" by Dennis de Vlieger).
