I am the original purchaser of this Barsto 40.
It is one of, if not the last 2011 Barsto produced in California before moving out of state. It is an OFFLIST gun!
FTF transfers only in the Sacramento area, you can pick the gun store who will do the paperwork. You pay all the paperwork / transfer fees.
Barsto hand fit everyone of their guns using the same 2011 frame as STI and others. Barsto is well known for their aftermarket barrels. Butter smooth is an understatement.
I used it for IDPA competition. It has approx. 3-4 thousand rounds through it. With the exception of about 20 Factory SD rounds, all of them were custom reloads for IDPA (read mouse fart loads)
The Recoil and Mainspring have been changed to a lighter spring to compliment the reloads. Original springs are included.
Front fiber optics sight was replaced with a Dawson Precision taller one, personal preference on where the dot is held / POI. Original fiber optic sight is included. Paint is peeling from the Dawson but does not effect performance.
Rear sight is a fully adjustable Bomar sight.
Some holster wear is apparent on the top of the slide,(see photos) the sides have minor use marks. The slide and barrel are Stainless Steel. The dust cover was custom cut by Barsto when they were still in Barsto. It was cut per the IDPA rules and JUST BARELY fits in the IDPA box.
The coloration of the slide in the photo is a reflection, it is not iridescent.
The slide is brushed stainless, extremely easy to maintain it's good looks. Ambidextrous thumb safety, back strap safety. All controls are easy to reach and are smooth functioning.
Included is a locking aluminum sided Factory case.
2 Factory 10 rnd magazines
3 standard capacity magazines blocked to accept only 10 (neutered)
1 Custom Kydex OWB holster by Blade Tech
2 Custom Kydex OWB magazine holder
I'm selling this because I've too many different calibers and want to consolidate / focus on just a couple.
