Original Swenson 1911, CT Brian, Ed Brown, Tripp Custom, Dan Wesson - Vacaville

Armand Swenson custom 1911 is built on a pre-70's Colt National Match. I believe this gun is unfired after leaving Mr. Swensons shop and have documentation to support this. I have owned the gun since 9/22/03 and it has lived in the safe since I brought it home. The previous owner, a Calguns member purchased the gun in July 2001 from custom pistolsmith Dane Burns who purchased it from the original owner. The gun is a near perfect example of Armand Swensons work and would be a cornerstone of any custom 1911 collection. The gun comes with 2 chrome plated period correct magazines. In addition the original invoice dated 8/25/71 from Mr. Swenson including the envelope it was mailed in, two test targets produced by Swenson after the custom work was finished, a letter written by Dane Burns stating that "...a detailed inspection of the internals and will say to the best of my ability the gun is as new and still unfired but it has been cleaned since Swenson worked on it". The one page letter from Burns also documents a little more history of the gun. Burn's letter references a couple of extra parts and the original walnut grips were included, I do not believe I ever received these items nor did the previous owner.

Price $4400, reasonable offers considered. Thanks.

I am happy to answer any questions via PM to serious buyers. I am not interested in trades for this gun. I may ship the gun, but only to a FFL and there will be a charge of $150. Thanks very much for looking.

Very hard to find Dan Wesson .32-20 revolver. I bought the gun used a couple of years ago with the 8" barrel and 4" barrel. I then sent it off to CZ/Dan Wesson and had an extra cylinder fitted for .327 Magnum and purchased a 2 1/2" barrel and a had a couple of other minor things done. CZ/DW only had cylinders in blue and did not know when they were going to get any stainless so I went with blued. The positive thing is you will know which cylinder is which. With this set up you can shoot:
      Cylinder #1
      .32-20

      Cylinder #2
      .32 S&W short
      .32 Colt short
      .32 S&W long
      .32 Colt long
      .32 H&R magnum
      .327 Magnum

No box/papers but I will give you the invoice / packing slip for the work done by CZ/DW. Reduced price $1250.00. Less than what I have into it.

This is a custom Kimber built by Tripp Research. Stock gun was a Pro Eclipse Target model. The base gun is stainless steel with black oxide hilights. In this case the whole gun is sandblasted then hard chromed. Some of the other custom work, flat top and serrate top of slide. Night sights installed, front frame checkering, magwell, ambi safety, install Doug Koenig low mass hammer, cut slide bottom at 60 deg as well as a couple of other things. Tripp does not do any custom pistol smithing any more, concentrating on making their Cobra Magazines instead. $2400 includes build sheet, and one mag. No box. Grips shown will not be included, standard rubber will be included.

This gun is a custom Ed Brown Bobtail style, made when Ed made the guns one at a time in his shop. Now Ed owns a full manufacturing facility and the guns are mass produced on CNC's, not hand fitted. This gun fits the hand great and feels as comfortable as an old pair of Levi's. The gun is built on an Ed Brown frame. Comes with one mag and a Ed Brown gun bag.

This is an older CT Brian custom built on a Colt gun. There are many custom features. Last I knew Mr. Brian has about a six year lead time and his guns start at a minimum of $5k and go up from there depending on how fancy you want to get. $3900, one mag, no box. I am the second owner and do have the original invoice and correspondence between the pistol smith and the original owner.
