This GI 1911 dates from 1917, it has a springfield frame and a WW2 Colt Slide, the gun looks to be all GI as far as I can tell though I am guessing that the blueing is commercial from the 50's or 60's but that is just a guess. Its a clean gun, nice example, great shooter and a rare piece of history.
