Other info: Offered for sale is a stainless steel Colt Government Model O1070 "XS". This was a special model only produced in limited numbers for one year in 1999. It was put on the market by Colt to compete with the then new Kimber pistols that were starting to steal some of their business. At a time when Colt was marketing basic handguns, this was quite a step forward for them. This XS is a beautiful pistol factory optioned with a Caspian beavertail grip safety, ambidextrous extended thumb safeties, dovetailed 3-dot high profile combat sights, full length guide rod, front cocking serrations, two hole match trigger w/ overtravel adjustment, brushed stainless steel with nice wood grips and a factory action job.
This pistol has been fired, but is in great "like new" condition. It has a really nice feel to the action and it is fit together very well. I have the original blue box and paperwork that came with the gun from Colt. This is a great find for someone looking to add a unique Colt to their collection.
