Are you ever in the Bay Area?

I don't go to the Bay very often anymore. A bit too busy these days.

I assume that the price is so high because it is off roster? Isn't list price below $700?

I assume so. I just look at comparables for the same or similar off roster guns and list it accordingly with adjustments up or down based on wear, extras, etc. I never set out to make money from transactions, I usually lose at least a few hundred.

I was in AZ for a few days and stopped by several gun shops which had all the off roster stuff that people drool over at below msrp (Xdms in the 500s, Sig 320s in the 500s, etc) The roster is just so stupid and pointless. It serves no purpose whatsoever besides creating this bizarre off roster market on calguns where people sell and pay 2x the regular price of a pistol. No crapping on this post, I just feel bad for all of us that just want to harmlessly shoot some guns when we aren't slaving away at work.

Yeah, it sucks. There's a lot of handguns I would love to own like a Sphinx SDP or an XDM, but I have to pay whatever the market price is for them here in California too.

Back on topic however, the M&P Pro is still up for sale for anyone who's interested in a great competition/home defense handgun.

Sorry, I don't think I'm heading to SoCal in the near future.
