Make: Smith and Wesson
Model: Hand Ejector Brazilian Contract of 1937
Caliber: .45 ACP
Location (city or county): L.A./Glendale
Price: $750 obo
Will ship (Y/N): NO
Other info: Based on the S&W .45 Hand Ejector Model of 1917, this revolver was produced in the United States by Smith and Wesson for the Brazilian government and was re-imported back to the U.S. in the mid-1980's. I purchased two - one shooter grade and one select grade. I'm keeping the shooter grade and offering the select grade up for sale. In the 30 years I've owned it, I have never fired it. Recently, I had a qualified gunsmith go over the revolver, giving it a thorough cleaning, lube and test firing. I was told it functions flawlessly.
It requires half-moon or full-moon clips in order to extract the spent casings using the ejector. It will feed and function without using the clips, but have a pencil handy to eject the spent casings. It will also fully function using .45 Auto Rim ammunition.
Barrel is 5.5" with fixed sights. Grips are smooth walnut with noticeable wear. Functional lanyard loop on the butt of the revolver. S&W logo stamped on the left sideplate with the shield of Brazil stamped on the right sideplate. The frame looks to have a sandblasted look to it and is more of a matte, rather than satin or gloss blue finish.
Round count unknown, but appears to have been rarely fired. It's in great shape for a 79 year old handgun.
Not interested in any trades. Buyer to pay DROS/associated fees. Can do transfer in the Glendale/Burbank/Pasadena area. Please contact via PM if you have any questions.
