This firearm is 6 shot, comes with an adjustable rear sight, and is double action. I am the original owner with the gun purchased new in 2007. The gun is like new with only 42 rounds fired in total.
The revolver is a 47-ounce beast. Extra metal is in the top strap and in key stress points so as to make it brutally tough and extremely reliable. The frame is designed to handle powerful loads and the cylinder is triple-locking for positive alignment. It came with special Hogue Rubber Grips to minimize felt recoil.
This is a true "Alaska Bear Gun" that can be easily carried in the bush because of its shorter barrel. However, this gun is much more accurate than the 2.75-inch model.
I bought this revolver for one remote Alaska fishing trip and I have never used it since. I was very popular with my friends on the trail as I had this trustworthy companion.
I love this gun for what it was designed for but I am too old now for the hiking bush trips. I want this firearm to go to an Alaskan Sportsman.
The revolver comes with its original Ruger locking plastic box, cylinder lock, instruction manual, and other documentation. Also included is a custom Galco leather case with black nylon belt.
Finally, the sale includes 200 rounds of .44 Mag ammo ($150 value). The ammo includes two, 50 round boxes of 240 grain semi-wadcutter; one, 50 round box of 240 grain jacketed hollow point; and one 50, round box of 300 grain extreme terminal performance hunting load.
