does the 9mm/38 on the gun mean it will fire both without modification?

Bump. Pistol will shoot either 9mm Largo or .38 Super without modification.

          Edited my original post.

Are you sure the 38 designation does not stand for 38 ACP, an obsolete lower power version of the 38 Super? I know it does in Astra 400's and it is not a good idea to fire 38 Supers in one of those.

The Model IV was in .38 Auto. It looks similar to the Model V in .38 Super, but there are some minute physical differences. Mine is the Model V as it has a slightly shorter barrel and different grips (those being the most obvious difference)

Model IVs (in .38 Auto) are very rare in the United States. Mine, the Model V was made for the US market and was made for .38 Super. Some Model Vs were made in 9mm Luger, but those are pretty rare.

I will post a link in my ad to a website that shows the differences.

                  Bump.
