REDUCED! 1968 Nickel Colt Single Action Army 45LC San Mateo

FIREARM IS NO LONGER FOR SALE...going on consignment...if you are interested, I will let you know where to find the firearm...

    [b]Make: Colt

[b]Model: Single Action Army, 2nd generation

    [b]Caliber: 45 Long Colt

[b]Location (city or county): San Mateo

    [b]Price: 2500/OBO NOW 2400

[b]Will ship (Y/N): I would rather not as I would rather the buyer inspect in person...

[b]Other info: A beautiful 1968 5 1/2" barreled Colt SAA...the Nickel is near flawless...no flaws, but as with any high shine surface, certain angles 'may' show differently...

These do not come up often...happy to meet for an inspection...there is no chance my iPhone camera can possibly do this firearm justice!

As the prospective buyer of 1968 Colt SAA (residing in San Diego) I drove up to San Mateo for face to face meeting/inspection/purchase with the seller. Seller was initially willing to mail firearm directly via UPS to my receiving FFL, which is perfectly legal for this particular gun (under Curios or Relics). When he later changed his mind, we agreed that he would use his FFL to ship it to mine, private party to private party. Now, after funds have been sent, he wants to sell gun to his FFL/gun shop and have me buy it from them. NOT the original terms of the deal and NOT OKAY. Beware of this Cal Gunner... He is NOT ethical and does NOT stand by his word/deal. BUMMER, I really wanted this gun.

Edit: The terms of the deal were to meet for inspection and for me to purchase the gun right then and there. He WAS willing to ship the gun UPS that morning, but when I could not procure funds immediately (it was Columbus day and neither of us caught it), he assured me the gun was mine, suggested I mail him a check upon my return home and that HE would ship the gun. He then changed his mind and said he would feel more comfortable using a sending FFL for a PRIVATE PARTY TRANSFER rather than shipping the gun directly to my receiving FFL via UPS. Selling the gun to his gun shop and then having me buy it from them is NOT a private party sale and IS changing the terms of the deal, no matter which way you try to spin it.

During our meeting, he made a comment as to something of the fact that the gun never was in his name. Now, he is unwilling to finalize the deal via private party, which means he only has to include a copy of his DL in the box for the receiving FFL to log the gun in legally and correctly. Why would he all of a sudden want to sell the gun to a gun shop and have me buy it from them?

My gut instinct tells me something is just not right here... my advice is tread lightly.
