The Beretta M9 has been the officially designated carry handgun for all U.S. Armed Forces for the past thirty years. The M9A1's greatest selling point is that it also contains a rail to mount tactical lights, lasers, etc. along with some other features not present on the standard M9. This M9A1 is a superb home defense weapon loaded with hollow-point ammunition and tactical light or laser. It's also a fine range and competition handgun as pistols tested for the military must shoot a 10-shot group at 50 meters measuring 3 inches or less!
Basic Firearmsmoother and lighter trigger pull. Using a Lyman digital trigger pull gauge DA is only 7 lbs. 3 oz., and SA measured 4 lbs. 2 oz.! This is considerably less than the stock M9A1, as mainspring was replaced with a special competition hammer spring. Firearm's a joy to shoot.
The firearm has recently been color-filled in silver, which, if desired, is easily removable with non-acetone nail polish remover. But I like it a lot. Do you? Then keep it that way! Or, easily remove the same.
With the handgun offered here for sale, the standard 92FS slide was replaced with a fully compatibleflawless in its operation.Gun is also in excellent-plus cosmetic condition. The only signs of use that I can discern are the inevitable small barrel marks, barely noticeable in normal light. Otherwise the gun looks 'MINT, or 'LIKE NEW', and looks even better than depicted in photos!
The gun also takes very nicely to FrogLube. It has been FL with three heat treatments. I really like the stuff but if you want to convert to petroleum products that is pretty easy. Just degrease with alcohol or brake cleaner, etc.
