Do you have a Really NICE MAS 49 and have been thinking about buying a French APX L806 Scope for it ?

Well ........

I have One Retro Scope Set for the older MAS 49 Rifles.

I say "Retro" because these are the First Model Scope Mount designed for the MAS 49 .....
After some field testing the French decided to Move the scope forward about 3/4 inch ...... which resulted in the Second "Forward Swept" Model .

This Scope Set would be correct for any MAS 49 Rifle .....
of course they will fit and work on a MAS 49/56 .....
just not "Correct" for a Collector.

Now ...... some shooters may actually want their scope a little to the rear....
which is almost Perfect without using the Rubber Eyecup ....
then this mount may be useful on his rifle.
[ How many US Hunting Rifles with Scopes use Rubber Eyecups anyway ? ]
