This just came in the mail YESTERDAY. I opened the bags and did a "dry run" mounting the lower handguard just to check fit. Apparently my rifle has a lighter/thinner profile barrel compared to most other AK 47/74's, and my barrel won't mount snug in the clamps. I ordered this rail because it's the only one out there that will accept a cleaning rod, and it also closes off the opening at the front of the receiver to keep debris out. $189 on K-VAR's website PLUS an absurd amount of shipping. If I return it, I pay a restocking fee. So, $160 FTF, or add $8 and I'll ship it.
