WTB: LCI for CA 9MM shield

Need that plastic Loaded Chamber Indicator, unmodified & not broken.

A long shot, but maybe someone hated it so much they removed it. If you have one, send me a price. Thanks.

The LCI is not made of plastic. It's steel. Call S&W to get a replacement.

Thanks for the reply, but the flag is plastic, not steel, and my wife's shield has been sitting at the local S&W warranty center for close to two months with no word from S&W when they will get the part.

Well I my particular 9mm shield's LCI was made of steel. I was also able to get customer service to send me a replacement and that one was made of steel. I called CS last week and the lady put me on hold while she went and found one to send me. If you haven't called CS for the part yet, it's worth a shot. Just to confirm we are talking about the same part, the LCI is the flag that pops up on top of the slide when a round is chambered. It displays loaded in white letters on top.

Good Luck and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We are talking about the same part. The flag on my wife's shield is plastic and broke at the spring end. Sounds like the material has been upgraded from plastic to metal. Don't know what they were thinking using plastic in the first place for this wonderful CA feature. I guess its a call to CS because apparently their own warranty center is just dragging it's feet.

Thanks, and you also have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

By the way, how did yours break? S&W will not warranty the flag because they claim the ammo broke it.
