No longer available. This was the second PA 1st Gen 7.62x39 scope that went defective on me so I exchanged it for a 2nd Gen 556 1-6x. I would recommend anyone looking to purchase a 1st Gen be patient and wait till the 2nd Gen is available.

I just picked one up… I didn't think or know to ask for a 2nd Gen… any way I could tell by looking at it?

The 2nd Gen 7.62x39 are not out yet. It's not yet known when they will be available. I've heard that many have had good success with theirs, but it's still too early to tell if even those will last. I wouldn't take any chance with any of the 7.62 first Gen's.

I feel like sending mine in (NIB) to PA. I hear they warranty their stuff really well, so maybe I'll give it a go.

If you purchased it through another retailer other PA then you have to go through them. PA only deals with customers who've purchased through them mainly, perhaps unless your dealer is no longer around. I had to get both exchanges through the retailer I purchased from and then the retailer sends the item back to PA. Each time I had an issue I called PA and they said I had to return the scope through the retailer I purchased it from.
