WTS - 1903A3 barrel

I have a new 1903a3 barrel for sale - 4 groove -- RA-44 -- $90

Threaded and chambered 30/06 -- parkerized

Never installed on a rifle --

It is 1" shorter than original, but would make a good replacement for a shooter or maybe a National Arms clone.

will this fit an 03? I'm not sure if I have a 03 or a 03a3, Any way to tell by seriel# or other? It's sporterized and in an aftermarket stock

yes, the barrel will fit an 03. The receiver should be marked as m1903 or M1903A3. Unless it has been modified, the 03a3 has a mounting for a peep sight at the rear of receiver.

Hmm, Let me take a look at my reciever and barrel. This would have to be installed by a gunsmith correct?

Tl -- It requires a reciever wrench to get old barrel off. It would likely require a finish chamber reamer after new barrel is installed. While my new barrel is chambered the last few thousandths have to be removed after installation/fitting to provide proper headspacing. While it is not nuclear science it does take some care and thought. -gb

I can't find anything stamped on my reciever, Unless it's under the scope base

Does your rifle have a peep site base at the rear of the receiver ? = 03A3
The Maker and serial number are located on the receiver where the barrel screws in. If you have a scope mount there it could cover it, It should be Springfield, Remington or smith corona for the 03 and 03a3. There were some aftermarket 03a3's marked National Arms. These are not Govt issue. Nothing wrong with them, just not true 03/03a3.
