Up for sale is a used Sears mini-mill (this is actually a Sherline, but back in the day Sears was an OEM retailers for Sherline). It works beautifully and I just got done milling out an 80% from Colfax Tactical. Worked fantastic. It takes some time for sure, and you have to be the patient type but mine looks great.
Included/
1. Mill
2. Two 5/16" endmills, one new, one used. Three blades, flat tip.
3. Small vise
4. Angle mounts for jig or vise
5. One, two-sided 3/16" endmill, two blades. This is not for use on your lower project but useful on other projects.
6. For both endmill sizes, included are collets for easy endmill installation.
Instructions for this job are on the Colfax Tactical website, free. You just need one of their fantastic 80% lowers, I bought the anodized version so now only my FCP is raw Al.
I bought this mill to complete the one lower. Also, understand that I also bought this mill used, so I am not even beginning to pretend it is a mint item, but it works great and got my job done. If you are a Newby like me, use the included used endmills to practice on a piece of wood or Aluminum before you setup the new one and get started on your new lower.
