Far be it from me to answer on the OP's behalf, but.... PTS would be the "Airsoft" stuff. HOWEVER, I am using Magpul PTS AFG's on both of my AR's (one in .223 and the other in .308) and to your point: "they look the same" and for me have worked flawlessly.
