I have a used scope mount for the M1A/M14. I bought it from enterprise arms years ago. It is not a picatinny spec mount. I machined more slots into it since it only had 5. I also machined material from the bottom to lighten it up and provide more clearance for the ejecting brass.
It has been guncoated matt black.
Mounts using the side bolt, replaces the stripper clip guide and a set screw in the front.
You can use iron sights with the scope dismounted.
Solid mount that works well but I no longer use a scope on my M1A.
