Well, it is all over with; I had 18 different offers for the magazine and appreciate each one.

The average of the 18 offers submitted was $24.75.

I was offered my asking price ($55) from Calguns member “wardo556” but he seemed a bit confused about the law, I opted not to sell the magazine to him for that reason.

The calgunner with the highest offer (below my asking price) was “halo66”…

Instead of selling to “halo66” at his offered price, I decided to sell the magazine at the average of all offers I received ($24.75).

This price is lower than “halo66” offer.

It is my opinion that this price ($24.75) best represents the current market value for the magazine; halo66 offered more cash than the $24.75 price I decided to sell this magazine for.

However, I want to sell the magazine at a fair price.

halo66 has the opportunity to purchase the magazine at a lower price than he originally offered.

I am thinking of selling more magazines in this format, is anyone interested (Please PM)???

If I don’t receive payment from “halo66” in a reasonable time-frame the next calgunner in- line can purchase the magazine at the same price ($24.75).

Here is the line-up if “halo66” backs-out, Price will be $24.75

    1. mrdon
    2. RebelStang760
    3. Ohnozombeez
    4. trailtundra
    5. gun4fun
    6. JP007
    7. word virus
    8. NorCalK9.com
    9. Roleiand
    10. the_midwesterner
    11. SC_SD
    12. tanakasan
    13. hcbr
    14. jadaysmith
    15. Bmfdez

A couple of Calgunners (“ohnozombeez” & “RebelStang760”) submitted two offers, “wardo556” offer of $55 was not accepted because he was confused about the law.

The Magazine sold for $24.75, if you minus shipping and Paypal fees ($5.10 “Priority Mail” & 2.9% +$.30 paypal fee “$1.01”) it sold for $18.64…

With that said, current market value in my estimation is $18.34 + S&H, not $1,000,000 (J/K) as advertised by other Calgunners and dealers….

And just so there is no confusion, this was not an auction "cycle61"

      You still following me around?

      Its not an auction because:

      1. I would not accept a price higher than my asking price.
      2. No one knows what anyone offered
      3. I sold it for less than 6 Calgunners offered

An auction is public sale in which goods or property are sold to the highest bidder.

I did not sell this item as an auction format.

This isn't any different than me posting a listing for a Pistol for $400 OBO

If I accepted an amount above my asking price I would consider that an auction, If I take a lower price that is my prerogative.

I simply put a time frame is to what date and time I would be accepting offers.

Why do you always get so frustrated LAKERS

I wish I still had your old PM's you sent awhile back

OK fine play games. This sure sounds like an auction. You have been posting who has the highest bid/offer and an average price to beat. but all of that aside you have been clearly breaking the one post/bump per 24 hour rule I hope the mods do something about this.

What are you talking about, I didn't break any rules .

I originally posted this listing on 01-16-2013, 3:09 AM

I bumbed it up once on 01-17-2013, 5:32 PM

            That is over 24hrs correct?

What games am I playing? I sold the dang magazine for $30.25 under my asking price.

In-addition, I sold the mag to a Calgunner for $15.75 less than he offered.

After contacting him and telling him I decided to sell for the average of the offers I received. (Less than he offered to pay) He said he would pay his original offer. I told him no, and sold it for a lower cost.

            WTF?

rules on bumping from the mods

              5) 5) Back to the Top (BTT) is allowed once per calendar day per PST/PDT.
'Calendar Day' refers to the 24 hour period described as 'MM/DD/YYYY' in the Pacific time zone.
This rule also encompasses all the other methods used to surreptitiously "bump" a thread sooner than allowed. Clever 'sales comments' and addendum's that can easily be added to the original post are just some examples. New posts that add content such as pictures or additional information will be considered as a "BTT". The time of last BTT is based on the last post by the original poster. Answers to posted material questions regarding the item may be posted in the thread prior to the next calendar day. Deleting your own BTT post and re-bumping your thread within the same calendar day may result in your thread being locked or deleted.

              11) Discussion and Commentary in For Sale Threads is to be kept to a minimum.
Posting comments such as "Nice gun, wish you were closer", "That's a great deal", "good luck with sale", etc. should be strictly limited. This is a community and wanting to comment positively on a sale or item is an understandable desire. However if it becomes a frequent or regular occurrence it will be seen as a problem and dealt with accordingly. Once in a while is okay, multiple times a day is not. Posts of this nature made by friends or family to circumvent the 24 hour bump rule will be deleted along with the ad. Interpretation of intent will be at the discretion of the Calguns Staff.

              12) Third party 'Bumps' and/or acting as a 'Shill' are forbidden.
'Bump' posts or comments such as "bump", "btt", or "tag" posted by a member other than the member who started the thread are not allowed. This rule includes all the methods listed in Rule 5 used to surreptitiously "bump" a thread sooner than allowed. Posts of this nature made by friends or family to circumvent the 24 hour bump rule will be deleted along with the ad. Excessive third party bumping and/or 'shilling' will lead to having your access to the Marketplace terminated. Interpretation of intent will be at the discretion of the Calguns Staff.

I just wanted to express my view on this and the way I saw this was as a $55.00 OBO. I had know idea that the seller was going to sell it for the average of all best offers. I don't see this as being an auction...just a different way to either purchase it at the asking price or present your best offer. Just my 2 cents...

Here is the rule for thread crapping

                  10) Thread-crapping.
Commenting on a post in a negative manner, called 'thread-crapping', is not allowed. If you think an item is overpriced or of lesser quality, don't buy it. If you have concerns about the seller PM a Moderator or Admin and we can discuss the matter. Thread-crapping will be deleted, multiple instances of thread-crapping will result in being barred from the Marketplace forums entirely.

I would agree that I may be in violation of rule 11 "Discussion and Commentary in For Sale Threads is to be kept to a minimum."

I was unaware but now I know, we should stop talking about this in this forum as we are both now aware and in violation of rule 11.

Please PM if you wish to discuss this further.

I will not respond in this thread because I do not want to violate the rules.
