My dad left me an Ithaca slide and I'm toying with the idea of rebuilding it. If you have one or can share any thoughts on the idea, I'd appreciate any. Thanks

My wife's grandfather died and we found remington rand parts in his garage. Everything for a pistol minus the frame, barrel, and mag release. I bought a RIA G.I and installed all parts. It turned out great and shoots great. Looks like a real WW2 pistol. Just an idea. Good luck.

That's an option and I could buy a new 1911 for what some guys want to charge for an original! Part ofthis idea is a learning project and the other is to pass down something unique to my boys.
