I have a new SIG 40 cal (less than 200 rounds) that I would like to trade for a SIG 9mm. If possible, I would like to trade only the barrel and mags.

That won't work...the slides are different. you need a conversion barrel which is sized right but shoots the alternate caliber

That would work best... you can either trade complete upper or get a conversion barrel. Either way i'd advise new mags to fit the caliber also.
