I also picked one up in reno. I love it. I was out at Sac valley on Sunday with a couple buddies. One had the vang on his Kel-tec SU16CA, the other had the good old A2 on his stag/DPMS AR. I was right next to them both and could hear the difference. There is no doubt about it. They were shooting the same ammo from 16" rifles, and the vang was very much quieter.

As far as the brake... there isnt enough to the .223 to matter, but I do like the fact that its forced forward. I am verfy ahppy with mine. I think I will also pick up the DTNC brake. I have heard good things about it and will try them both on my AR next time.

The online video of the DNTC brake is interesting. One handed rapid shooting and the barrel is amost motionless.

Just put the vang on my DPMS 16 OLL.
                  I have a AK 74 on my mini 14.
I have RO shooters at matches. Seen a lot of brakes.
Been an ARO also and have had to use the clip board to keep the
                  blast away.
The Vang is the most quiet and less blast of all of them.
If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting
