i got ahold of two aerolyte custom transit cases. decent condition not too rough but not like new. they are HUGE. made of aluminum with steel hardware. have 10 hinges on the lid. built tough. inside clearance is 10 inch by 10 inch by 87 inch. yes, thats not a typo. 87 inch inside clearance. they are long and skinny( skinny for the length that is). outside dimentions are around 88 inch by 11 by 11 inch. they have spring loaded handles, so they lay flat when you arent carrying the cases. they have wheels built into one end so moving the cases is easy. the website http://www.aerolyte.com.au/
i imagine these cases being used for those large guns that you cant get into normal cases. like a "ma deuce" or a 1919. i imagine you could hold a tripod and ammo and a 1919 in this case. or add partitions and layers of foam and fit 6 rifles pretty easily. ( i donno if the ma deuce would fit because i donno if the charging handle would stick out and make it fatter than 10 inches wide. maybe someone who knows that info can chime in.
price lowered to 200 bucks each one has a slightly damaged hasp for the lock. i can fix it before it leaves tho. one has felt lining and the other has some foam inside but its thin dense foam and i think the inside dimentions are still pretty close to the other.
THE TERMS------ first "ill take it" in this thread claims them. no rush to pick em up, but payment due within 7 days. please ask questions first, dont claim them and then ask questions. i prefer pick up here in cambria, ca. zipcode 93428. ill ship on the buyers dime but i cant spend time boxing them up. if i ship, they will go as is with no covering.
edit-added- offers of trade count as an "ill take it" until i have had the chance to accept or decline the offer. if i decline the trade offer the claim falls to the next "ill take it".
