what's the difference between the socom and m4 barrels?

SOCOM barrel is thicker under the hand guard. not as heavy as a bull barrel but much thicker than the government profile of the standard M4 barrel. it was designed for high volume full auto use that the standard M4 barrel cant handle. much harder to come by than a standard M4 barrel.
