with the hogue wrap arounds i didnt feel the need to modify the grips at all. there will however be a 1mm gap between each panel if you dont. with rubber grips only the lower half of the panels will have gaps (wraparound would be better since there would be no gaps in the front). hard wood/aluminum/micarta etc will have gaps to the top bushing. if you are currently running some cheap rubber/plastic panels its easy to inlet with a dremel or even xacto knives.
