Your "brake" looks like a flash suppressor.

This brake is closed on the bottom, reducing muzzle rise, to classify as a brake.

The "brake" is closed on the bottom so you don't get dirt blown back into your rifle when you are shooting from prone. The front of your "brake" looks wide open, which means it's most likely a standard A2 birdcage flash-hider NOT a brake. The way you tell the difference is the hole in the front - if there is a small hole with just enough room for a bullet to pass through, then it's a brake, if it's wide open (like it looks yours is) then it's a flash-hider.

AND yes, this does all matter, because someone may want to put that upper on a featureless build which would require a brake and not a flash-hider. Either way, good luck with the sale - BUMP for the infos!

brake - small hole in front

flash-hider - wide open in front

Wow, sounds like alot of different opinions. I guess as far as the written law goes they can classify and I will just sell it. As far as who buys it , thry will just have to do their homework because I clearly have not. Thanks. Never wrong- just mistaken.

How do you like this brake and it's performance? Was thinking about it for my next build since it's close to the A2 birdcage in appearance/size but with the performance of a brake.
