OK looks like we got a shooter here...

I spent near 5 hours today shooting twelve (12) rounds letting Sweets work with shoot cleans, and at the end I see progress.

The barrel's coming clean and groups are touching at 50, and not off the bench but standing against my back door jam and shooting through the rain.

I'm shooting 62gr green tip pulled FMJ with mil surp powder- light loads.

Startin' to get excited about this upper..

Scope rings are 1/2" and to low. I hope 1" rings will work. They should. The upper really looks awesome. The fluting is deep, and is under the handgard also.

Can't wait until the rain quits so I can shoot her at 200-300..

It is a sweet set up, I put a new production ART II scope on mine.
I have never scoped an OLL before, and decided its almost awkward looking through the scope.
Any of you use a riser to use a scope?
I love the rifle, can't wait for it to quit raining.

I use a riser and an extended bolt catch.

More barrel breakin in and out of rain pics.
Barrel sure was rough but has smoother up nicely with 60 rounds so far.

Here's ten shots at 50, without really trying hard, and just using the bullets and powder I have the most of for breakin.

Cleanup is getting quicker with the smoother barrel and with less and less copper fouling. That's the sign of a good barrel...

I read a post on a forum where a guy said DPMS barrels arn't worth a damn, and there's a reason why you never see any targets posted. Well here's one for now. 10 shots, one hole-...

But, for now; here's the finished product. In addition to the upper/components from the group buy, I've added a Stag lower and the U15 stock offered by California Rifles

Due to budget constraints (i.e. out of money) My optics will be an old Simons scope I have. Picking up the new rings this week. Thanks again Mudd for the great buy.
