Hello group,going back to wood for my M1A LOADED.I had to modify the upper handguard/top cover inorder for my M1A LOADED barrel to fit.

I dont understand- if the EBR are meant for the m1a, why does the upper handguard needs to be modified?

How do you deal with a non removable magazine or magazine lock with a sage EBR in California given the pistol grip?

To make it Cali legal, I purchased an extra magazine release and cut it off so its flush with the bottom of the receiver. You either top load or just remove the trigger group and change magazines.

You could also have someone cut a hole through the magazine release and jam nut a bolt up against the magazine. The mag release is hardened steel and probably wont drill well, I suggest a machinist cut it.
