Hello,
I've got the last of my USGI 25mm waterproof and airtight ammo cans that are made out of black phenolic resin / polymer and they're incredibly strong. These will fit approx 1000 rds of loose 308 or 30-06 or approx 1700 rounds of pistol ammo.
These ammo containers measure 13.5" x 14.5" x 6". They're all in like new condition with excellent seals. They are the same as pictured on Avidone's posting and thanks for putting up the photo.
Everyone who has bought these cans really likes them and I only have about 10-15 of them left.
I've seen people put divider shelves in the center of the can, so they can have one caliber on one side and then turn it over to store another caliber on the other.
These ammo cans have heavy duty flip lock doors on the top & bottom, they're sealed with black neoprene "O" rings, creating a waterproof seal and they can take an impact of being dropped onto concrete at 40 feet with 40 lbs, without breaking.
These ammo cans will also float, making them perfect for boaters, plus you can store emergency kits, long term airtight storage and with the price of ammo, this will help you protect your ammo investment. You can also drill a hole in the polymer to put a padlock on it and use it to carry handguns.
These ammo cans were only sold as surplus in the early 90's, then Clinton banned their release through DRMO. Now these cans are destroyed instead of being sold to the public through surplus sales. I've been to the last 5 gun shows and nobody has these cans for sale, so I thought I'd offer the few I have left here.
I'm selling these cans for $20 each. I'm in Huntington Beach, I can also ship these cans for cost and I take paypal. I'm also open to trading.
Let me know if I can answer any questions and send me your email so I can send photos.
