After much research, I found that the screws holosun provides for the optic are not deep enough to fit on the m&p 2.0 pistols with the standard plate on there.

I found that they simply wouldn't grab enough threads in the pistol to stay mounted properly. Then I tried longer screws that came with the gun. No dice, all the longer screws are designed for different optics. Not rmr or holosun.

Smith and Wesson has in the manual to use the screws that trijicon provides if using an rmr. But doesn't address the holosun.

Holosun sent me the screws pictured on the right. [Which once again, weren't long enough.](https://imgur.com/a/8frBuyO)

    Eventually I found this thread

SoCalDep and rca90gsx via pm provided me excellent information on screws, and my upcoming New YearÂ’s resolution is to regularly replace optic screws. One thing that held me back is paying $10 or $15 for two screws, and not having a bunch of them around. I thought it might be helpful to post up the exact part number for common installations and a link where screws can be ordered in bulk. Per SoCal Dep, the link for the CORE SRO/RMR/Holosun 6-32 1/2 long Torx screws is 94414A148 and they are

which explains the longest screws you can get away with for the platform.

So I ordered 50 screws. After 1k rounds and 2 separate events, one of which being a run and gun 5k, hence the dirt, here are the results

witness marks https://imgur.com/a/LM3zMMI skeptical at first, because they don't sit exactly flush, but they seem to work well.

**Note** these are for m&p 2.0 core series pistols using the stock plate. I don't know how it would work for after market plates.

$7 for two sets (four total) shipped in an envelope

Interesting. I never knew that. Is that dependent on 1.0 or 2.0 models or is it the same?

Including examples of the different placement of the rear dovetail cuts. This is to illustrate how these suppressor sights would not fit properly on the Optic intended pistols, without hanging over the end of the slide. Additionally, the length of the dovetail cuts is notably different in size.

If used on the standard rear dovetail, they would work well, and be tall enough to see over the height of your suppressed pistol. (Ha!)
