I have a question. I have a registered Bushmaster with a 5.56 upper on it. If i wanted to put an upper like this on this registered rifle with a ten round magazine would I still need the bullet button? if anyone can answer this question it would sure be helpful.

My understanding is you still need a mag lock -- since the mags go across the top and the shells eject down through the magwell, the BB on your lower has no effect with this upper. There are two tabs that you pull back to release the mag, and I would assume that it needs to made so a tool is required. But a MM grip may be the way to go IF that enables you to forgo this requirement. Hopefully other knowlegable CGers can chime in here.

I had heard that a mag lock was being developed but I haven't had time to look into it. I will try to get more info and post it here.
