I actually had one mounted on my USP Compact .40 cal. "with out" that rail adapter in photo and I chose to display it in the proper set up (with adapter rail.) I purchased the HK Compact Rail adapter (shown in second picture) from GG&G for $53. I have to say it was a struggle without the adapter, but I was able to mount it and it held like a champ!
I can not say for sure. As they say where there is a will, there is a way... I'm going back off the rail because I don't ever really remove it.

As I have stated before, I was able to mount it on my USPC but I can't deviate from manufactures suggestion. I will try to mount it without the rail to display it with pictures. That is when I find the time. There is also a YouTube thread that has a nifty hack. But I will not be linking any sites for legal purposes. Hopefully that was was some what helpful.

Yes, it's a Heckler & Kosh addition directly from HK

Here is the how it sit on the "H&K USP .40 Compact" without the rail system. The right side of the clamp extrudes slightly and not completely flush.
I hope this solves the USP question.
My apologies to all who those whom have waited this long for me to remove the rail system and attach pictures. Personally, I removed the key all together, but it can be cut, reversed and re-inserted for better fit.
It actually looks good on Glocks, even with the HK logo.
That, with a final Scary Halloween price drop that ends at midnight October 31st...
